Here we go again. What makes the Garrison’s experience for our guests so overwhelmingly positive is hands down our awesome team members. The day-in, day-out interactions our people have with guests are without a doubt the true face of our company and of our culture. When it comes time to honor a pair of these exceptional individuals for recognition as an Employee of the Quarter, it is no easy task. Fortunately, we hire an outside consulting firm to do a complete and systematic audit of the entire company, a fine-tooth combing of every employee file, and an interrogation-style four-hour interview of every team member as well. Then we know.
Evan Gaudry / Digital Sales & Marketing
“My name is Evan Gaudry, and I’ve been with Garrison’s for a little over 4 years now, having started as a sales associate. About 6 months ago, I transitioned into my current role, a hybrid marketing/sales position with a focus on developing Garrison’s digital experience. I am loving how dynamic my position is and how I’m able to assist multiple departments with their projects while still working directly with our guests.
Garrison’s has a passionate, close-knit team that shares the same goals and values. We strive for the best guest experience and the best experience for each other while at work, and our culture reflects this. Our leadership has empowered me to bring about some really cool changes in our company over these past several months (especially as the world of retail becomes increasingly digital), and I’m proud of my contributions! My favorite Garrison’s Core Value is definitely “Be Game” because I’m always ready to engage with a new challenge.
I was born and raised in Ashland. I love how unique and special our valley is and how proud everyone is to be a Southern Oregonian, myself included. It may not be the big city, but that’s certainly part of the appeal for me. During my time outside of work, I love to relax and read or do crosswords. And nap. I hope napping qualifies as a hobby. I’m fortunate that both my work family and my personal friends love me despite my quirks, or at least enough to let me tell the same stories for the tenth time!
Having started my career at Garrison’s at age 19, I can say honestly there’s nowhere else I’d rather be. We have something truly unique and fun happening, and I think that plays into how we serve our guests and community.”

Anthony Silva / Warehouse Associate
“Hello, my name is Anthony Silva and I’ve been with Garrison’s now for just over a year and a half. I work on the delivery team as a lead truck driver. This has always been my official position, yet I also work behind the scenes in the warehouse. I really enjoy this position as I am responsible to help our guests get their furniture into their homes and feel comfortable and appreciative of it. On the delivery crew, we are often the last representatives of Garrison’s a guest will encounter. We work hard to ensure this experience is as positive and fun as their shopping was! Also, I love seeing all the amazing scenery and cool places we deliver to in this beautiful area.
Garrison’s is definitely a company that takes pride in taking care of its employees as well as getting our guests connected with great furniture & mattresses. Personally, I get excited about the opportunity to make others around me feel better and feel good about themselves and ensure they have a good time. The culture around Garrison’s is to enjoy what you are doing and not take yourself too seriously. I’m motivated by making people feel better throughout the day and bringing laughter and positive vibes. I would say that my top Garrison’s Core Value is the “Attitude” I bring to make people laugh and have a good time and have fun while at work. Make the business a career that is worth staying in!
I am originally from Sandpoint, Idaho and have lived in other parts of Idaho, multiple parts of California as well as here in Southern Oregon. I guess I’ve moved around quite a bit! I’ve now lived here in Southern Oregon for almost 10 years, and I’m still blown away every day by the natural surroundings and beautiful scenery. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family (wife, son & now daughter), playing and watching basketball as well as bowling with my wife. I’m not so great at that one, but it sure is fun and something my wife and I can enjoy together! I think she would say she beats me every time though lol! My family and friends would say I’m helpful, funny and laughing as usual :)
